Before you start, make sure that your Windows 7 PC supports Bluetooth. Turn on your Bluetooth device and make it discoverable. The way you make it discoverable depends on the device.

Select Start. Follow any other instructions that might appear. Work Introduction. Open Device Manager. Click Browse my computer for driver software. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Click Have Disk. Click Browse. Point to the inf file in the driver folder, and then click Open.

Double-click Bluetooth to expand the category. In the pop-up window, check the box next to Delete the driver software for this device. Select More Bluetooth options to find more Bluetooth settings. From the Options tab, select Allow Bluetooth device to find this computer.

Click OK and try to connect to your device. If problems persist, continue to the next step. How to connect the Bluetooth device to the computer Press and hold the Connect button on the bottom of the mouse. On the computer, open the Bluetooth software. Click the Devices tab, and then click Add. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Click on Windows Update.

Click the Check for updates button if applicable. Click the View optional updates option. Click the Driver updates tab. Select the driver you want to update. Right-click your computer in the list of devices and select Bluetooth settings. Select the Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer checkbox in the Bluetooth Settings window, and then click OK.

Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. If needed, restart your system when the installation is complete. Right-click on Computer from your desktop or Windows Explorer, and select Manage. Select Devices in the left pane.

Locate and expand Other device in the right pane. Install the driver by running the installer. Open the Device Manager You can do this by pressing the Windows but and typing it out Right click on your wireless adapter and choose Update Driver Software. Choose the option to Browse and locate the drivers you downloaded. Windows will then install the drivers. Look for the Bluetooth heading.

If an item is under the Bluetooth heading, your Lenovo PC or laptop has built-in Bluetooth capabilities. This issue may occur if no Bluetooth drivers are installed or the drivers are corrupt.

Check in Settings. In Windows 7, you see the Bluetooth hardware listed in the Devices and Printers window. You can use that window, and the Add a Device toolbar button, to browse for and connect Bluetooth gizmos to your computer. Getting a Bluetooth adapter for your PC is the easiest way to add Bluetooth functionality to a desktop or laptop.

Turn on your Bluetooth accessory and make it discoverable. Choose the device and follow additional instructions if they appear, then select Done.
